About the CNA School Finder
This directory lists Certified Nursing Assistant training programs across the United States, drawn from community colleges, technical colleges, and dedicated nurse-aide training centers.
How programs are listed
Program selections are compiled from multiple published sources, including state-approved program lists and third-party ranking sites. The directory is not an official ranking; always verify a program's current approval status with your state's Board of Nursing before enrolling.
What CNAs do
Certified Nursing Assistants help patients with activities of daily living — bathing, dressing, mobility, meals, and vital signs — under the supervision of registered or licensed practical nurses. Most state CNA programs run 4 to 16 weeks and combine classroom instruction with supervised clinical hours; no state currently allows a fully online certification, since in-person clinical training is required.
Keeping the directory current
New schools and corrections can be submitted through the Submit a school form. Submissions are reviewed before being added to keep the listings accurate.
